This course covers the history and the principles of Genetics. It will focus in the acquisition of the students of the necessary knowledge on the relevance and applications of Genetics in crop and animal improvement, the physical and chemical bases of heredity, the processes of gene replication and expression, and the patterns of inheritance of important characters.
