This course aims to provide students with an introduction to poultry production and flock health management. Specifically, it shall deal with the state of the poultry industry, brooding, management practices for hatchery, grower, layer, and broiler, as well as different production management concepts. It shall also deal with health-related care, poultry welfare, and an introduction to artificial insemination. This is done through online class discussion, synchronous and asynchronous learning, and knowledge integration.
