This course prepares the students to be oriented with the biological characteristics of insects, arachnids, and protozoa of veterinary significance.  Specifically, it aims to describe the morphology, life cycle, epidemiology, and clinical significance of these arthropods and protozoa. It also aims to discuss some of the direct and indirect effects of these parasites to their hosts, the pathogenesis of the disease that it may cause, and the appropriate means of treatment and control, as well as zoonoses.
