This course provides the students with an understanding of how Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) contribute to sustainable rural development. The course allows students to explore technological and organizational challenges of providing open and affordable connectivity to the public at large. Furthermore, students explore different policy governing the development of ICT; examine issues relating to current ICT infrastructure in rural areas; assess the contribution of ICT to Rural Development.
