This
introductory course develops the knowledge and practical skills needed to
analyze, design, and communicate a proposed information system. It covers the
system development life cycle (SDLC), requirements elicitation, process and
data modeling, documentation, feasibility considerations, and basic project
planning. Through a scaffolded, team-based case project, students identify a
real organizational problem, develop structured system models and a feasible
solution, and culminate in a professional project-proposal presentation.
