Living in the IT Era is a general education course that explores the role and impact of information technology in everyday life, education, business, communication, and society. It introduces students to fundamental concepts related to computers, digital devices, the Internet, the web, software, hardware, data, information, communication technologies, and emerging digital trends.
The course also develops students’ digital literacy by helping them understand how technology is used responsibly, effectively, and safely. It discusses important concerns such as cybersecurity, privacy, ethical use of technology, digital citizenship, and the social and environmental effects of information technology
