This course examines the importance of an effective performance management system in helping organizations define and achieve short and long term goals. It explains and reinforces the concept that performance management is not a one-time supervisory event, but an on-going process of planning, facilitating, assessing, and improving individual; and organizational performance. In addition, the course emphasizes the importance of measuring effectiveness of human resource activities that are designed to enhance individual and organizational performance.

Valuation refers to the process of determining the present value of a company or an asset. Analysts want to place value on a company or an asset to help in management decisions on the prospective future earnings, the market value of the company’s assets, and capital budgeting. The course will discuss time value analysis, bonds and their valuation, stocks and their valuation, capital budgeting, and cash flow estimation and risk analysis.
