Agricultural Business Finance is an applied course that addresses the economic and business
principles necessary to operate a successful agribusiness. The course covers a wide range of topics in
business, finance, economics, and management. Upon completion of this course, students
will learned to apply the principles drawn from these topics toward activities that support their
own business aspirations in the agriculture industry.

This
course is designed to introduce to students the fundamental business concepts,
including what it means to be an entrepreneur. It will explore what it means to
organize, manage, market, and be productive in business as well as emphasize
the importance of understanding how financial institutions operate,
communicating effectively in business environment, and knowing how to make and
adhere to budget. The course basically provides basic knowledge in the
different areas of business operation that becomes the foundation for
subsequent development of entrepreneurial traits and skills.
